The Pressroom, BSC

I am such a lousy blogger compared to MY PARTNER in CRIME (click!), Until the point she pestered me to update my blog (I-couldn't-find-time-to-update-my-blog!). I claimed that I do not have much readers compared to her, maybe I should just settle down to be her blog manager and pray hard she got us famous one day by the number of hits and clicks she generate every month. Not tat I do much in being her blog manager, just directing her like this "Eh, where's update in your blog!!!"

See, I am so visionary :D

So, today I actually found some time. Half a year of 2012 had passed by and you can ask me half a year later again for me to conclude 2012 in some words.

I had just turned a year older recently. My birthday was full of surprises and I will treasure the moments very much. Will blog about it very soon! Prefer my blog to be in chronological order. So here's a recap of me and Skipper's anniversary dinner in May.

Since most of the previous anniversary celebration, Skipper insisted to buy us dinner. This time around, I wanted to buy Skipper dinner instead. Was torn of places to go, wanted somewhere new and special and of different flavours, finally after rounds of indecisiveness, I settled for The Pressroom, BSC.

Anglo-French cuisine? Voted The Best New Restaurant by TimeOut KL in 2010? Sounds like a plan!

Indeed, the dinner was a memorable one in setting, thanks to the restaurants crews which was very accommodative because they got to know it was our anniversary dinner.

Bread and Butter

Marinated Salmon with Watercress
Black Cod with Pea Sprouts
Whole Roasted Spring Chicken with Potato Cake and Anchovy Rosemary Butter

I personally thought the roasted spring chicken was quite dry, but love the potato cake stacked below the chicken. The black cod slab was perfect, but not sure why pea sprouts was part of the dish. Anyway, it is still personal preference, may differ from individuals to individuals. Living up to the French theme, where everything is fancy, neat and small.

Eton Mess

Had been trying to had Eton Mess since I saw one of the participants made it Australia Junior Masterchef series. It is a traditional English dessert consisting of a mixture of strawberries, broken pieces of meringue and cream. The Pressroom presented it in an ice kacang bowl setting instead. Like the taste, no qualms about it.

Chocolate Volcano-Happy Anniversary to us!

Chocolate Volcano was a surprise gift to us. We was both shocked because it was totally a sweeeeeet gesture by the restaurant crews. We thought we have enough of sugary counts from the Eton Mess, but coupled with this, they just brought sweetness to another level. My bad for not remembering the name of the waiter that was so attentive to us that night! But thank you very much.:)
